Carrie Underwood Was Mom Shamed For Wearing Makeup

Over the weekend, Carrie Underwood did something most moms do: she attended her son's soccer game. The pregnant country music star shared her excitement with her followers Instagram by posting an adorable selfie. "Officially a soccer mom this morning! It’s chilly out but I’m staying warm rocking some [Calia by Carrie]...the kids played a good game! Isaiah scored two goals for his team...and one for the other team. Hey, a goal’s a goal!"

Because the internet can be the worst, some of Carrie's followers mom-shamed her for the most absurd reason. According to the mom-police, wearing makeup to a kid's soccer game isn't allowed. "Well that is a crap ton of makeup for a soccer game," one of Carrie's followers commented. "Show up like most soccer moms, messy hair don't care, no makeup and a coffee mug in hand," another said. How rude!

It should go without saying, but it's really NBD how any mom decides to show up for the kid's events. Isn't the important thing that Carrie is there cheering on Isaiah? It may be one mom's prerogative to do a full glam sesh before heading out to the soccer game while for another it might be a more laid back event. It's a personal choice and there's no reason to shame other moms for making a different decision than your own.

Not all the comments were negative. Thankfully, Carrie's true fans showed up to defend her from the mom-shamers. "Ignore the negative comments. Enjoy watching your son play soccer. That's what is important," one person chimed in. There's no better way to say it,  TBH!
